How it Works?
The guiding principle of our Lifestyle Medicine program is addressing the underlying causes of illnesses on many levels simultaneously.
For lifestyle changes to be sustainable, they must be pleasurable and meaningful, fun and joyful, loving and feeling good, as well as effective-freely chosen. What you gain must be more than what you give up. With our Lifestyle medicine program life is to be enjoyed and savoured. Our Lifestyle Medicine programs have four major components, each a healing modality on its own and synergistic when done together:
RIGHT DIET:

What should you eat? Few fields have as much controversy as nutrition-after all, everybody has to eat, and just everyone has an opinion about it. Fortunately, the evidence is now clear. A consensus is emerging that a whole-foods plant-based diet is the healthiest way of eating. It is low in bad carbs and bad fats; high in good carbs and with enough good fats; the right amount of plant-based protein and very low in animal protein (only grass fed and organically raised).
“Whole foods” means to eat foods as close to their natural form as possible and avoiding the processed foods. In summary we recommend; Whole foods plant-based diet, naturally low in animal protein, fat, sugar, and refined carbohydrates and high in flavour. Primarily eating vegetables, whole grains, legumes, and lentils and pulses in their natural, unprocessed forms.
ADEQUATE EXERCISE:

You already know that exercise is good for you. What you may not know is that just how amazingly beneficial it is, and how even a little exercise goes a very long way. There are three basic types of exercises we recommend for just about everyone: aerobic exercise (e.g., walking), strength training (e.g., resistance bands or lifting weights), and stretching.
In the spirit of keeping it simple, here’s the bottom line about exercise: if you like it, you will do it. Make it a “playout” rather than a workout. So, find a type of exercise you enjoy doing in each of these three categories, and just do it regularly and see the benefits. We now have enough data to show that a little exercise can make you happier and help you live longer.
STRESS MANAGEMENT:

Chronic stress is one of the important mechanisms underlying so many chronic diseases and health issues. It has a direct impact on our health mediated through the sympathetic nervous system. When its chronic, stress can increase inflammation in your brain, which in turn can lead to depression. When you are depressed, your immune system is depressed.
Chronic stress negatively impacts your genes and all other bodily functions in so many ways. But the good news is: stress comes primarily from what happens to us but, more important, how we react to what happens to us. How we react is a function of our lifestyle and beliefs. Herein, to help you manage stress, our experts will train you with the scientifically validated methods of meditation, yoga, gentle stretching, breathing techniques, guided imagery, and deep relaxation etc.
LOVE & CARE:

Love and intimacy are healing, loneliness and isolation are deadly. The need for authentic connection and community is primal, as fundamental to our health and well-being as the need for air, water, and food. The research studies have shown the people who feel lonely, depressed, and isolated are three times more likely to get sick when compared to those have strong feelings of love, connection, and community.
Today there is an epidemic of loneliness, isolation, and alienation in our culture. Loneliness exerts its negative influences on every organ system and in turn all our biological mechanism gets affected. Anything that brings us closer together and away from isolation and loneliness-is healing. It can be romantic love of a lover, platonic intimacy of a friend, a child, a parent, a sibling, a teacher or even a pet.
